When you lift up your cat, do you feel like you are weight l

  Please advise.
No, my cat is only 3 and a half months old. He is so cute! And Ornery, too! But he only weighs about (I think) 2 1/2 to 3 pounds right now.

If you feel like you are lifting dumbbells, should you lift your cat instead of them? Or put your cat on an exercise regimen?
Cats have the ability to control the force of gravity. They can be as light as a feather when you pick them up, or seem to be as a sack of cement.

While putting a paw on you while you may be in bed, it can seem like a piston of tremendous force.

After awhile, a seven pound cat laying across your feet can seem like two bags of cement. And that same cat laying across your lap can seem as if it weighs nothing.

They can race silently up and down the stairs, or sound like a thundering herd of elephants. It all depends on the hour of the day or night.
My older cat, before she left, was like 30 some pounds and it didn 't feel as heavy as when I lift up our 18ish pound cat, I was probably just used to it is all. But if I'd lift up to of our kittens, it would probably feel like dumbbells.
Either you are extremely weak and feeble or the cat is extremely obese. In either case someone's eating and/or exercise habits need to change.
No, your cats my be Obese, talk to your vet and she/he will advise you on how best to put your cat on a diet.

I don't pick up my cats one-handed for one thing and for another the heaviest is about 8 and a half pounds.
Lol. Not with my 10-pounder but with my Norwegian Forest Cat I do - he's 17 pounds !
haha, sometimes, I think it depends on how fat the cat it tho.
No, because my cats eat a very healthy diet and are not overweight. What are you feeding your cat?
