My grandpa lives with my brother and his family, he has alzeimer's. Last weekend I noticed a bunch of empty fancy feast cans in the recycling bin, way more than a cat could possibly eat in a week, and my brother doesn't even own a cat. How do I bring this up without offending my brother if I am wrong?
Just ask him "whats up with all the cat food, you don't even own a cat"?
You're worried about offeding someone giving garbage to an old person? Go get the cans, hold them up and ask what the F is going on. If he indicates in any way he's doing it, contact social services and make a report on him.
There is an outside chance they're feeding a stray outside, but given the situation, I'd not think it likely. Baby food is far cheaper than 69 cent cat food cans, and more nutritious AND easier to get into a person with advanced alzheimers.
Maybe gramps is secretly feeding a stray or maybe gramps is eating the cat food on his own, who knows. I would say to definitely inquire about it, but don't do it in an accusing manner. If brother comes off as defensive, then I'd say you have a problem, if not, you could be blowing gramps's secret cat feeding and brother might put a stop to it. Tread light.
Back Again Kyle!
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Well after looking at a recent question you posted "why has my cat sleeping for three days and she farts sour smells?" I guess your brother figured that the cat did not need the food and did not want it to go to waste.
Ask your brother if he has seen any trolls lately eating the cat food and I don't think he will be offended.
good luck!
Yep, you can sure tell it's a school holiday.
Cat food is very healthy you shouldn't worry about it. He'll benefit from eating it and have a shiny coat.
If you can't get him to stop, at least start buying the "Senior" kind.
no you are not wrong. but before you jump to conclusions you should try to catch him in the action.
get invited to dinner and see what they serve grandpa.
