How to become friends with my cat?: L?

Hey ... I have a cat called jenny and well .. she doesnt seem to care that i exist even though i am the one that cares for her:)

I would like some ways as to how i can become 'friends' with my cat?;)

Thank yaaaaaaa:)
Sometimes it takes a while, even years, and some cats may become friendly but just never like to be lap cats (just like some people hug and kiss their friends when they meet, and others don't) . Not knowing your cat's background, I can't say why she is behaving this way, but the best way to get a cat to feel comfortable with you is to be available to her without forcing your attention on her.

If she already feels comfortable, increase interactive play like fishing pole toys or tossing a crumpled piece of paper for her to chase and pounce. Pet and praise her when she catches it. Play like this can help you bond.

If she doesn't even like to be approached, you need to build her trust. Always talk to her when you're in the same room, in a calm, quiet, reassuring voice, and never try to grab her or pet her against her will.

You can slowly approach to just outside arm's reach from her and gently hold out your hand to her with your palm down and two fingers extended. You will know you are making progress when she approaches and sniffs your fingers. She may even rub her cheek against them, and at that point you can slowly turn your hand over and scratch her chin if he will stay there for it. Avoid reaching for her from a standing position or trying to pet her on top of her head or back, since many cats are paranoid about things coming down from above. Always try to approach her on her level.

This will sound a little odd, but if you can, leave the door open when you are using the bathroom. Several of our cats (and most of them were born feral) first became comfortable approaching me when I was sitting in there, perhaps because I was not looming over them and somehow they may have sensed I wasn't going to suddenly get up and lunge at them. These cats, who originally hid all the time and went from place to place cringing against the walls, now climb all over me when I'm sitting on the couch or bed (except one, but she is steadily getting more trusting). pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Good luck and have patience!
Wink at her, or slowly blink, and then look away.

That's what cats do to signal to each other they mean no harm.

If you look at her directly, you signal you are going to attack her, and well, she won't like that.

Don't try to pick her up, let her come to you.

But some cats just don't care for humans, no matter how "catlike" you communicate to them.
Try catnip ... a toy with a refillable cat nip let her sniff and find a comfy spot and shell follow, try it for awhile and see if that works ... after awhile dont refill the catnip and use just the toy and eventually take the toy away .. also .. brushing ur kitty might help with the bonding saying (i know it sounds weird) but saying good kitty or good jenny and good luck ...
Try to hand feed her a couple of cat treats once a day.
