What's the best cat litter (easy to find)?
I've been using Arm and Hammer multi cat litter for awhile and I swear by it, but I've noticed that its not the best for covering up odors. It does clump well and is reasonably priced, but the smell isn't good. I've tried Tidy cats and other cheaper litters and I don't like any of them; none clump like the A&H. Is there another brand that clumps well and has a better odor blocking reputation? I'm looking for something reasonably priced and easily found.
I use the A&H, multi cat kitty litter and dont have a problem with oders at all. The only time I had a problem was when I used the scented kind. My kittys refused to cover their pooh.
I use maxx scoop.
It's the only kind i've really tried though. I just got a kitten 3 weeks ago and my other two cats go outside to pee and stuff lol

just make sure its dust free
oh, I find maxx scoop doesn't really stink either, but I don't have anything to compare it to lol
Don't change your litter, just get some litter deodorizer :) It should be fairly easy to find, it should be near the cat litter, if not right next to it, in the shop. If you can't find it just go to a proper pet store :P
After your cat has done his/her stuff, just sprinkle some deodorizer powder over it and it should cover it up pretty well. If that's still not working well enough for you, find a new litter box that has a lid or that the cat can walk into and out of :P
Try washing the litter box with dawn dish soap, dry it out, and put a layer of Arm & Hammer baking soda on the bottom, then the cat litter on top. I do this, and do not have a problem with odor. Cat boxes should be emptied & cleaned daily, eliminating odor & the possibility of spreading diseases.
I just use clumping litter without scented litter. To cover up the smell, I put baking soda in. It works for me
I used to use A&H but switched about 6 months ago to tidycats scoopable, it works the best and it really does scoop way better than anything I've ever used and I've used them all. Also, it masks the odor like none other (and I as well have 2 cats) it's not expensive and 35 pounds of it lasts me about almost 2 months and that's for 2 seperate boxes and it's only 8 dollars at walmart. Def switch to that, but make sure it says scoopable on it. I use the 24/7 performance but they come in like 4 different varieties. Hope this helps!!!
