What to do with a dead kitten?
My b/f and I found a kitten on Friday near to our apartment block in an old garage, it was obviously malnourished, very skinny, filthy dirty, shaking etc and after watching it for almost an hour (no mother cat around) we decided that we could not leave it outside alone and took it into the house to keep it warm and try to feed it a little. As we already have two of our own cats we kept it in our spare room over night away from our two, not really knowing what to do with it as the local vets was already closed by then, and they do not have weekend appointments. Sadly the kitten did not live, we found it dead this morning before work. I was planning to take it to the local shelter after work tonight if it had still been alive, but I am not really sure what to do with the body now? I can't just throw it away, it seems so indignified to do that to a poor little baby. Do I take it to the vet or does anyone have any suggestions? We do not have a garden so burying it is not an option.
answer:
That poor little thing. I think you should take it to the vet if you can't bury it but I don't think he/she would do much. You are thinking correct by not just throwing it away. I appreciate the fact that you love and care for animals just like me.
I agree with Lauren and Ocimom, cremate (or burn) it, but don't take it to the vet, you never know how they might react. Keep the ashes and spread them at your favorite place, like a park. You never know, if its soul lives, it'll have a happy place to play:)

As for lena34, you are the sickest person ever known to this earth! Report me if you want, but your questions on KILLING a cat are just plain SICK!!!!!!!!!!!
If you take it to a vet or shelter, they will probably charge you for disposal. I have no idea what that may cost. You cannot leave the dead body in your apartment. I would wrap it up in a plastic bag and seal it good.
A vet will charge you for the disposal. You can take it to the shelter. Just make sure you make it clear the circumstances through which you have the kitten.
I see you shown the cat much care before it passed...and that u tried you're very best for it....best thing to take to the vets and let them deal with the poor thing there
at least your a decent person who cared for the poor kitten before it sadly passed away, take it to the vets or animal control centre :(
or you could cremate it
Eat it if you not going out for dinner it would make a great stew kitten stew yummy yummy yummy :D
:-(. Saddest question ever
