Major cat behavioral problem - any advice?
I love my Cat Hubert. I adopted him about a year ago and he is four years old. The biggest problem I have with him is that in a spur of the moment, without warning he will launch up and bite me HARD on my arm or leg, etc. And he won't stop if I tell him to stop or push him away. I've tried calmly talking him down but that doesn't work. If I get him to stop, his ears sit back, and he launches at me again, and again for about three to four more times until he lets up or I am able to calm him down. This really hurts me! He claws hard and bites very hard. It doesn't look like playing, but I am not sure. He even launched up and bit my neck twice! I talked calmly to him and he let go. What should I do? Why is he doing this?
answer:
Just take him to the vet. They can send him to rehabilitaion or perscribe soemthing. There is a plug in spay called Felixan that should calm him down but the vet is the best place to sort this problem out.

The action is an instinct of large cats, tigers, lions, cheetahs, not a good thing to have in a house cat. Do a little research into his bread and and history and get him into the vet in case of other serious underling conditions. Don't let him near any children.
