Kitten keeps trying to nurse from my dog...?
I got a kitten 3 weeks ago. She's now 10 weeks, I've been informed by you guys that 3 weeks is too young to be away from their mom, but it's over now.
Anyways, in the last few days (hasnt done it at all before) She's started trying to nurse from my dog. He's really cool with her and loves to play with her, and lets her climb all over him. Anyways while he's napping she'll go up to him and start "nursing". I don't think he minds since when she does, she's kneading so it feels like a massage... but is this ok? should I be stopping them or will the kitten get over it eventually? I mean I know with a mom cat she eventually gets sick of them so she stops them from nursing, but on a dog who really couldn't care less, will she learn to stop?

And no, she doesn't care where she starts to nurse, the first time it was his back, then she found nothing so she moved to his neck, then his leg, then belly, then back to the leg lol
They were taken too early, if the dog doesn't mind, you shouldn't. The kitten will grow out of it.
She may or may not grow out of it, Animals can get all sorts of problems from getting taken away from mom too soon. My cat used to drool. She never grew out of it. She would do it only if you had her on your lap and petted her. She would start to purr and then drool. Kind of gross. A relative had a cat that sucked on her chenille bedspread. As long as the dog doesn't mind I would say it is harmless. and maybe they will bond over it.
If it doesn't bother you when she does it then I wouldn't worry about it. If it does bother you then keep them apart.

I don't think it's that different then when my cat comes on my lap and sucks on my blankets.
