How do I get rid of fleas on 8 week old kitten?
I tried giving him a bath yesterday, but I was afraid he'd get cold (and he didn't like it very much) so I just dunked him in really quick. When I was drying him off I saw that there were still a few fleas on him. Is it safe for me to give him a bath again (without drying out the natural oils in his skin)?

I tried a flea comb, but he also hates that. It didn't really work. I guess I'm wondering if there are any home remedies or products that I can buy to get rid of the fleas. Thanks.
answer:
safest way to clean a small kitten is Dawn Dish Soap. get a good amount in your hand and smear it around his neck like a collar until it is nice and goopy so fleas cant escape to his face once you've smeared his neck start lathering up the rest of his body with the soap as well as the back of his head and under his chin (keep his face clear of soap) once he is all lathered then hold him in the water with his face out of course and run your fingers through his fur, hold him in there comforting him for few minute to try and drown the fleas. Once your done make sure he is fully rinsed off before drying him with a towel best you can and taking him to sit near a heater or in warm blankets to dry. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

My cat was infested with fleas when I got him at 3-4 weeks old and this is how I got rid of them.

Flea medications and shampoo would be too strong to use on him I'd suggest not using any direct poisons on the kitten with out vet consent.
go to a vet or to a pet shop and ask for some SPOT ON
