3 years ago me and my family went on vacation. We paid a family friend to keep the cat while we were away. She didn't know our cat like to hide in the drier and play around with the clothes while we were doing laundry the cat used to do it all the time. And she didn't know and it got killed. She had 8 dogs and 3 cats and she rescued all of them. I can't imagine her doing this on purpose she cried for HOURS after she found out...I'm 12 now and was 9 when this happened. My mom was bringing it up today...and now I can't quit thinking about the horrible pain my kitty bella went through...do you think there is a heaven for cats? I miss her so much.

She did not do this on purpose. She cried for hours. She's been punished enough and she did nothing wrong. She didn't know that your cat liked to hide in the dryer. Your family needs to take most of the responsibility for not telling her this important bit of information.

I am quite certain that all our beloved pets go to heaven.

So sorry about your cat, it probably suffered a lot before it died. I think there are animals in heaven. And your cat sitter should have known to check the dryer before shutting the lid, but it sounds like she really was sorry for that happening.

Think on it. Heaven is supposed to be a perfect place, where there is only happiness. If we would miss our beloved pet, then we wouldn't be completely happy, would we?

I had a vision once, of my dad after he passed away. He looked happy, wearing his "camp clothes" instead of a business suit, and his beloved (and dead) pet dog was walking beside him. It was a very real vision, although it only lasted a few moments. But it told me that our pets travel to the next plane of existence with us.

The way we get to live forever is through memories stored in the heart and souls of those whose lives we touch and are touched by. That's our soul print. It's our comfort, our emotional nourishment at the end of the day and the end of life. How wonderful that they are called up at will and savored randomly. It seems to me we should spend our lives in a conscious state of creating these meaningful moments that live on Memories matter........ Memories like any loving pet.

I'm pretty sure theirs a heaven for animals, because it would upset me if I got there and they weren't their to greet me....Don;t think about what Bella went through - think of all the great times you had with her!

Yes, I think there is a heaven where all former living creatures liveso owbers can bond and reunite with pets. Hey, maybe my neighbor's cat who I loved a lot and your cat are playing together right now :)

It's OK to miss her. She did probably go through some pain, but when she died, the pain was gone and she didn't remeber it anymore. Yes there is Heaven for cats, my Grandma says, "The Bible says Heaven is the best place, and if Heaven is the best place, then it has to have cats." So that means our cats go there. Sorry for your loss

It's a sad thing that happened. Cats seem to be attracted to the warm clothes in the dry. Heck we all are when we take those nice warm towels out of the dryer.

Through the years I always made sure to watch out for my cat when taking clothes out of the dryer. If I gave them the chance they would be in the dryer.

Your cat sitter, unfortunately didn't know that the cat was allowed to go into the dryer when you were taking warm clothes out. It was an unfortunate thing to have had to happen. Look at it this way, if you ever get another kitty make sure kitty isn't allowed to go into the dryer at any time. This isn't the 1st time something like this has happened. Other people have made the same mistake forgetting that the cat was in the dryer. It's a lesson that was learned the hard way as we adults say. Seems like we all have to learn many lessons the hard way even as adults. It's just a matter or correcting those mistakes.

If you don't have a kitty, maybe it's time to get a new kitty to take care of. And don't be afraid the same mistake will happen ever again, because you won't let it happen. There may may be sad memories, but don't forget about the good memories. Think about the good memories and let the sadness go.
