Cat question during hot weather?
I Know that I will need to get in touch with a vet but here in oregon it is 99 degrees right now and my cat is home alone with no a/c the window is opened and the fans are on but I am worried because she has fleas right now and this morning she threw up a little bit and I am not sure if it could be heat related or flea related, has anyone come across before in the past? any input would be SO helpful.
answer: A little infomation about fleas. If you get 7-dust used for garden vegetables and sprinkle it under you furniture and leave it over night it will make the fleas leave. Also sprinkle it on your carpet lightly and then vacuum it up.It is not as poisonous as other means to deal with the fleas.I hope this helps with the fleas. They can be dangerous to you and your family making you very ill; as well as your pets.

cats often throw up for no alarming reason, however you need to sort out the fleas whatever happens because they'll make her uncomfortable, and the heat will already be doing that.
however she should be able to simply molt and cool herself down naturally, just leave a bowl of cold water for her, and don't keep her inside all the time - she'll find cooler spots outside by herself if she wants to.
good luck!

Well if it is 99 degrees in Oregon in the middle of February I am the Queen of Sheba. I may reach that Temperature in mid July in to August but not this time of year. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
And even if it was, cats will tolerate higher temps them humans think.
