http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http ... You cat get some cat nip (spray or whatever) to get them to use that.

My late kitty loved her cardboard scratchers and the Cat Charmer (what my boyfriend and I call the whipper). She also loved the flashlight game and chasing the laser light. And she liked the small tinsel balls but was scared of the larger ones. She liked the rings from plastic jugs.

My new kitty loves her Bergan Turbo scratcher, the "whipper", the Yeowww catnip toys (cigars, bananas, pumpkins - all sorts of shapes). We have little "mousy" toys she likes. She's really fascinated with plastic. We have a crinkle sack she likes to sit on.
Generally, most cats will enjoy playing with anything that they can pick up and toss around especially if it has the smell of catnip on it. I find that our 3 cats will play with anykind of toy that has catnip in it and a good thing for them is a scratching post to sharpen their claws on instead of expensive furniture.
My cats really love the yellow egg inside the kinder surprise.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinder_Surp ... It doesn't go in a straight line because of the shape, and it is light, so they can really hit it far. Especially my little cat (well, little, she is 5 now) plays with it constantly.
They have never broken one, so no danger of parts coming off. The only annoying thing is that I have to retrieve them from under cupboards, sofa's and otner objects a cat doen't fit under.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com What really makes me laugh is when she takes them in her mouth and brings it to her pet bed, and starts sleeping on top of them.:-D
I occasionally put a bell inside them, and that sparks their curiosity too.
Mine LOVE LOVE LOVE wand toys (stick with a strip of leather or something with a furry toy, feathers etc. On the end) that you can move around like prey for them to chase and catch. They have so much fun with this and will bring it back to me over and over to start again. I actually get my favourite ones at cat shows but you can find similar toys in shops Da Bird is a very popular one
