Will it be harmful to separate my two cats, raised together?

Generally speaking, no. But it also depends upon how old they are and how long they have been together. If they are young still, they may "feel" the separation for a few days, but will adjust. If they are older cats , then the separation may be very hard on them.

Me ... kittyslave23 ... I know my place.
If they've been together that long if your trying to get rid of one the other wouldost likely have to go to, any animal can be effected by loneliness it can kill them, my freinds cat won't eat if she knows he's about to leave the house she almost died when he went on vacation. If you want only to get rid of one try finding someone who has atleast one other cat or the cat your giving away may become severely depressed and needy on their owner. If you can find someone with a cat already let the person visit the cat periodically (it may be good if they have their other cats scent on them) so that the cat gets used to them and then have that person being their cat and see how they get along, then it may be time for the cat to go home with them
cats mourn, when i had to put one of my cats to sleep and she was sick over the weekend. . i think my other cat knew .. they laid butt to butt on the couch and the one who wasnt sick had tears in her eyes .. her personality completely changed once we put the other cat to sleep .. it was completely heartbreaking to watch it .. and to try to do what was best for all the people and furry babies involved
Animals are more like people than you realize. Think if it is your sister would it be harmful if mom came home and moved one of you out. I have two siblings and I worry if something happens to one I really think the other one will die.
Not necessarily harmful, but not the greatest idea if you care about your pets. They are most likely emotionally attached, so they could definitely become despressed, if you do decide to seperate them. I would keep them together!
I think it would be ..... they are family ... if there was any way possible to keep them together I would say try your hardest. They are cats, surely they would move on after a while, the world wouldn't end. Still though I wouldn't do it.
I think it would be bad because they were together and they are used to being together playing together and seeing each other.im not saying it is harmful but they would be sad with out each other.
YES, YES, YES. Why would you do that now? Please keep them together. This is not fair to them. SAD ...
Only if they are young and if they areal ready full grown they will miss each other and try to run away
yes you have to do it when there young!
