I will be moving in about 2 weeks time and taking my cat with me.
She has not been spayed yet and i'm not sure if it would be better to do this before the move or move her first and do it then? If i move her first, howlong should i let her get used to the new place before having it done? when would be the best time to have my cat spayed and what's the best way to get her used to the new place?
thanks!
I don't think it matters as far as the cat is concerned. She'll be fully recovered in a few days. You on the other hand are probably very busy getting ready to move. Do you have the time to make three trips to the vet before you move?
I would wait for a few weeks after you settle into your new place before getting her spayed - her environment will be pretty chaotic in the next two weeks, with all the packing/cleaning being done, and it stresses animals out.
Wait a few weeks until after she's settled in her new home, and then have her spayed. It's also a good idea to wait if you're moving far enough away to where she'll have a new vet - that way, if any complications from the surgery should arise, her new vet will have more information on her since s/he would be the one to do the actual surgery.

GL with your move and your cat!
Spay her now. And when you move, put her in a room with food, water and litter pan. Keep her in there till you get all the stuff in the house - that way she is secluded and safe. After you have everything brought in and most of it put away, then you can start letting her out to explore. She needs to have her own "safe" place in case she gets skiddish.
I would say its best to move first and allow your cat to settle in. You dont want to put her under too many stresses at once.
See how it goes, when you feel she is settled then arrange to get her spayed.
