Cat has nothing bewteen his sholders?

When I adopted my cat tony from the animal welfare he had a lot of problems. Ring worm and runny eyes and sneezing all the time. As he got older he still continued to sneeze and I brought him in and they gave me medicine but it would never go away each time. Eventually I noticed him sticking his tongue out a lot so I brought him in and had to have all of his side teeth removed. Recently I was left with nothing I'm going through a bad verbally abusive relationship and money is tight because I'm unemployed and trying to sell my home before I lose it. But I noticed when my cat tony sits the space between his shoulder blades has nothing. It starts from his neck and runs down the middle you can feel his spine and ribs. He has always been a small cat and because of his teeth I give him any special food I can get. I even crush the temptation cookies into dust because if not he will try to eat them whole. But the hallow space worries me . My other cat joey is big maincoon about 15 pounds he has no issue its firm between his shoulders with a little indent but not much. I'm worried about tony. He's always been to himself doesn't really like to be held. Real stiff. Both shoulders are the same height so I don't think he dislocated it. He doesn't whince in pain when I push or slide my fingers along his back and feel the bones. I try to give him multi vitimins but I don 't have much time or money left. I'm going to be living in a small bedroom at my sisters house soon. So I can get on my feet. I don't know if I should spend the money to bring him in or if the vet will just say he's fine. Everytime I ask about his weight and they say he's fine. He jumps and plays but lately not as much. I'm not sure if he just misses his father who left us or if something is really wrong. Or if its normal to have nothing between some cats shoulders or not. Any ideas??
Just sounds like he's not very muscular, there typically isn't anything between the shoulder blades except muscle. You could try feeding him kitten food to fatten him up, it's also softer, so it's easier to chew. I don't think there is anything to worry about with that, I would be more concerned with his lack of play. Watch him closely, if his energy continues to decrease I would suggest some action needs to be taken then.
I have a cat who looks like that. Even more worrying is that he used to be large and over night about 10 years ago all his weight suddenly fell off him. His shoulder blades stick right up. I rushed him into the vet who did all sorts of tests and couldn't find anything wrong. Two years later the vet decided to do tests again in case what ever was wrong didn't show up in the first test - well, it didn't show up again. He just is as he is. He also suffered an emotional trauma at that time. He may look a bit scrawny, but he is amazingly healthy for a 15 year old! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Your cat will be affected by the changes in your lives. Cats are very sensitive to these things. Your other cat probably just has other ways of coping. It is going to take time for you all to get used to the changes.
ask a vet advice over the phone. it's free. you can always get a temporary job at mcdonalds. i did. you take the train to a busy area and walk down the street, stoppping to fill an application form in every restaurant you see. you'll get a job in three days to three weeks. i always did.

another way is open the yellow pages and call all mcdonalds and ask to speak to the manager and get an interview. and when you're in the area, visit other restaurant by walking up and down the street. you'll get a job, guaranteed.

a visit to the vet shouldnt cost that much, it depends on the problem but it's more like from 50 dollars to one hundred and something. minimum wage is what? 5.5 an hour? that's nine or eighteen hours. what's that? two, three days ? what's the big deal?

better take the fury guy to the vet because one, he may be suffering, two, the situation might get irreversible.
