Why is my cat losing hair?
I notice she losing hair on her stomach-any ideas y?
I just got a $949.95 Dell laptop (17 inch) for $137.32 and if you think that's an awesome deal, my neighbor just got a 42 inch HDTV for $76.25 that's being delivered tomorrow to his house. It feels great not to pay high retail like the rest of the people. I am even selling some of the stuff at retail to my co-workers making 10 times my money back. The most common cause for hair loss in cats is fleas.
But recently my oldest cat was losing fur and it turned out she wasnt sleeping properly. We bought her a nice new heater bed and shut her in a room with it so she would use it and now she is looking so healthy.
It could also be what you are feeding her, if there is something in her food she is allergic to it can cause her to lose hair.
Well, at first when you said she was losing hair i immediately thought she's probably just shedding, but you say its either only on her stomach or mostly on her stomach. This makes me think that your cat might be pregnant. When cats get pregnant, before they get fat they lose hair around where thier titties are and then thier titties get bigger and fuller, and then your cat will start to get fatter. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Watch out for these symptoms. I may be wrong and your cat just may be shedding and the time you saw it, it was on it's stomach. So good luck because either way these are big and joyous milestones in the owning of a cat. If she's shedding, you get a cat brsh and groom her and make her look like your princess, and if she's pregnant your gonna be a proud contributor to help with the birth of kittens, and then to the survivors your going to be a grandmother!

I have had cats since before i was born. congradulations on being a pet owner, and i can tell from your concern and worry about your pet's loss of hair thatyour a good pet owner!< = > )
Is she pulling on it/over grooming herself? Some cats that are feeling stressed out will pull their fur and often in the belly region. That would be my first guess. Sometimes little changes like rearranging the furniture or bringing new carpet in or having a guest over will set some cats off. If it doesn't improve, have a chat with your vet. Parasites occasionally cause fur loss including fleas, lice, and mites. Also some medical conditions cause hair loss, although usually more like excessive shedding than patches.
