Please help! sick baby cat ):?
I have an un-vaccinated 8 week old kitten. Lately he's been eating a lot, around 3 times an hour but only a little, and then having diarrhea for almost three days. He's also been sneezing more often, and sometimes wanders off to hide in a dark corner in another room.
His energy level is the same, he has no vomit and still has a wet cold nose. I would take him to a vet but I have no money till next week. Please tell me what might be wrong!
Change food possibly. If you just got him he is probably eating a new kind of food and it is hard on their digestive system. This worked for mine hopefully it will work for you :)
It could be many things , the sneezing is definitely serious. He needs to see the vet or could die quickly. He is also suffering and does not feel good. The diarrhea needs a stool culture... All these things curable if he sees the vet, could be fatal if not....Maybe u could work out a plan w/ the vet, use a credit card (the vets sometimes fix u up with Care Credit) or u can borrow till next wk from some one who loves u or sell something u no longer need 2 pay the bill . But this is urgent. God bless, good luck and thank u for caring about this kitty baby... also remember 2 keep ur bathroom door and toilet lid closed at all times. Kittens that small can jump. fall in the toilet seeking water and not be able to climb out (as they are 2 tiny n it is too slippery>) also watch if u have a washer and dryer in the house cats and kittens love to sleep in laundry piles and a disaster could easily happen,,,, take care and good luck...

He could have parasites that can cause diarrhea it can also make them eat more, the sneezing can be an upper respiratory infection. You do need to go to a vet little ones can go down hill fast, they can succumb to illness very quickly. We had a kitten in my hospital the other week nearly died the owner waited too long to come in one more day she would likely have died. Their nose being wet and cold is an old wives tale it really does not indicate anything.
