Would you prefer a Dog / or Cat , as a Pet ?
I would prefer a Dog : Here are a few qualities of a Dog : Loyalty, Bravery, Friendship .

Do you agree a Dog makes a better Pet ?
YES ...as Stated above . In a Dangerous Situation , a dog might try to save you or your life ( but a Cat wouldnt )

Dogs. They are better overall. Plus, cats are d*ck heads.

I think dogs are a million times better than cats.. they are smarter, more friendly, more playful, you can train them to do tricks, they can be used as guard dogs, and they are just awesome with their tail always moving side to side.. plus a cat just sits and sleeps all day :D

I really like the elegance of the cat, and their eyes. However, I do prefer Dogs because they're more likely to play and run and all of that. And yes, their loyalty it;s a great quality. By the way, did you know that a dog see's his/her owner as the leader of the group?

I have both, but honestly I prefer dogs. They are easier to take care of and I don't have to smell their waste. Yuck, I hate kitty litter.

They are also more cuddly and lovable, cat's have been known to save people's lives too! not just dogs. Cats also have awesome personalities and it's cool to see what you might get :D.

I naturally love all animals but I would prefer a Dog.
Reason being:
1:I'm allergic to cats
2:I don't enjoy when they claw my lap while they try to get comfortable, giving me welts in the process
3:They aren't good to have around babies
4:I grew up having dogs

I don't agree about your statement about rescuing though... I have heard some stories about cats waking their owners in dangerous moments. Yes they may be more feminine so they can't carry you but they can help...

Dogs are mans best friend. They love to ride in the back of a pick up no matter what the weather, will always protect you and your family, they listen, walk in front of you looking for birds or scaring snakes off, they don't lay around all day then bat around a stupid hanging ball for a couple of minutes. Yes dogs are perfect

I prefer cats. You don't have to walk them every day regardless of weather, they don't bark, and you don't have to get up and take them outside every time they have to go to the bathroom. Obviously a dog is your favorite pet, but that doesn't mean it's the same for everyone. Also, whether or not you think it would save your life is not a reason to get a particular type of animal. Why does an animal you decide to take in and do everything for have to be ready to risk its life for you? People are supposed to love their pets unconditionally, after all. I'm personally more concerned with keeping my pets safe than whether or not they can keep me safe; when I got them, I made the promise to protect them, not the other way around. It seems like some dog people could stand to learn a little something from their dogs.

@Anjanette- Cats aren't necessarily any worse around babies than any other pet. Even if the parents are worried about the cat smothering the baby, there are these things they have in the house called doors that can be closed to separate the cat from the baby at night.
