Why Does My 6 Month Old Kitten Keep Scratching Himself?
My kitten keeps scratching his neck. And when I go to look at it, theres like some white powdery stuff on top of his fur, but not like tons of it. He's been doing this for about a week. He doesn't have fleas because he never goes outside (i live in an apartment). What could it be, could he have dry skin? Please answer!!
Thanks!!
Fleas, ringworm, allergies, dry skin. The powdery stuff sounds like dry skin.
This does not sound good at all and i cant even think of any reason why he would do that. If it helps, i believe that the whits stuff isn't harmful. I think he keeps clawing himself so hard and then when he's done the white flakes is his skin, he's clawing it off. Don't let him scratch too much, sometimes animals even bleed when they scratch that much. I believe that whatever is causing your cat to claw himself that bad, it must be serious. I'm begging you to take your animal to the vet to get him checked out.
