My bf got paint on my cat please help?
soo im in art school and my bf begged me to use my paints and paint a picture so whatever i let him and 2 seconds later he looks away and my white cat steps in green paint, he has it on the bottom of his paw so how long before it comes off because its stained, im scared
Try mineral spirits, making ABSOLUTELY sure your cat doesn't lick it.
first break up with that weirdo.
now just wash the kitty and go to the vet.
paint is bad for cats cause it has toxic fumes or the poor cat will die!!
You should just wash your cats paws with cat shampoo and warm water right after it happened. Make sure your cat doesn't lick the area before you remove the paint. It's better that your cat has paint on the fur and not in the system. You could shave the fur that has the stains, the hair will grow back, won't look pretty but it'll be off.
O PLEASE PLEASE NO MINERAL SPIRITS.... IT WILL KILL. THEY ABSORB IT THRU THEIR SKIN AND THEY DO NOT HAVE TO LICK IT... the best thing is something oily like salad oil, margarine or butter, rub it gently into the painted area and wipe it gently and immediately with a soft kleenex type tissue, or toilet tissue, or a real soft paper towel, u may have to do it more than one time but keep at it. ;;;;; good luck,,, or of course u could always take him 2 a vet if u cannot get it offl. Put a small clean sock over the painted paw , bandage it not too tight so he cannot lick it and take him to the vet, but try ur self with the oil or butter or marjerine first..... be very careful of paints in the future they are toxic.. and all toxins can be absorbed thru skin they do not have to be licked or eaten.

Ok so first, wash the cats paws with warm water and soap, GENTLY! put a sock over it and loosely tie a string or ribbon around the sock. Take him/her to the vet clinic and if they aren't open, go to the emergency vet clinic. They usually stay open later the the regular one.
