Is my cat's limping serious?
My 7 month old ragdoll cat, Meeko just jumped off my parents bed and my dad said when he landed on the floor he wailed in pain, rolled over and immediately darted under the bed to hide. I was able to coax him out shortly after but he was limping pretty badly. He's still limping a bit but was able to jump up and down from our couch and doesn't seem to mind if I touch the affected leg (back left) gently. He obviously hurt himself on the initial jump off the bed, but I want to know how long is too long to let this run its course and see what happens. The hurt leg doesn't feel swollen or deformed or anything but I don't want to just dismiss this as nothing only to find out something worse later. Unfortunately though, it's kind of late to take him to a vet.
You should still take him to the vet... it can be serious!
Vet. NOW!
