How much does it cost to get your kittens nails filed down at banfield inside petsmart?
Too much! You can cut the nails SO EASILY your self! Use a human nail trimmer, but turn it sideways so the edge points up and down. Then gently push on the kittens toe till the tip of the nail comes out, then just snip the very end and you are done. It is quick and painless and FREE.

Why would you file a kitten or cat's nails? They're small and need to be CLIPPED. You can do this yourself at home. This site explains how
http://www.catscratching.com/htmls/artic…If you really don't want to do this yourself then just call the clinic and ask. I can't imagine it being more than $5 or $10. But considering the nails need to be clipped every few weeks don't you find that a waste of money?
Banfield is one of the most expensive places out there! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Just get a regular nail clipper and do it yourself -- just cut 1-2mm off (ie just the sharp tips) and you should have no problems!
Good luck.
"Filed"? Never heard of such a thing. Just get regular nail clippers and cut them yourself. It's much easier with a partner. One person holds the kitty and the other clips the nails. Easy Peasy.

Any cost would be wasted. Go to Petsmart and get a claw clippers. I have posted a link to one that will work well.
Yes, a kitten's claws are like needles, and very young kittens haven't fully learned how to retract them.
You start by massaging your kittens paws, so they get used to you handling them. Then, you work up to pressing on their paw pad, and their claws will extend. Then, once your kitten is used to you doing that, you take the clippers and snip off the very tip of the sharp claw. It is better to error on too little then to take off too much. And you may only get one or two claws trimmed at each session, but after a few sessions, all will be blunted.

I know it was $10 at the grooming place in there for the dog - would imagine its about the same for a cat. I cut my cat's nails at home on a weekly basis with no problems.
