Help me name my cat anyone?
I was looking for some opinions on a cat name. I'm planning on adopting a second cat, and he's solid grey is that makes any difference to anyone. The cat I already adopted I named Atlas, and since Atlas is is a Greek mythology name (Atlas is the Titan who held up the sky) I'm planning on going with another Greek name.

My favorite two are:
Hero - Actually a name of a woman in the myth, but I think it works just as well for a boy.
Homer - Greek poet who wrote the Odyssey and Iliad. Most people will probably think Simpsons, but that doesn't bother me much.

Others I've considered:
Aesop - Fable writer, but it's too close in sound to Atlas.
Linus - Hercules's music teacher, but I don't like the two -s ending names together.
Plato - Philosopher.

So basically what do you think would be the best name: Atlas and Hero, Atlas and Homer, or Atlas and Plato?
Atlas and Hero! They sound so nice together!
Homer, no doubt. The name is somewhat funny but also has a deep meaning behind it since homer is one of the most influential writers of all time. If not homer then I'd go Plato, that would be a good cat name. Honestly I like them al!!!!
It depends on his colour, but I think Charon is an awesome idea, particularly if he's black or dark furred. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Edit: Whoops, missed the colour bit. Still, Charon/Kharon, ought to work fine for a grey cat.
I think you should go with Hero because the names are in a similar myth.
I always like unique names. Especially if they go with the cat quite well. My current cat is named Lady Gaga because she has a black ring around one eye and the other is pink. We once had a cat named Queen Amidala due to her puffy ears.I know two themed cats are cute, I think the cat would be happier with it's own individual name.
Hero! (:
personally, i like aesop..but you're right, it's probably too close. i'd go with hero....for your simple-minded friends' benefits. the greek mythology is a good way to name cats (i went with famous criminals in the old west for all my hermit crabs) but you can't pick names that have a double meaning. homer can also be taken as homer simpson....when i got jesse, everyone assumed it was a toy story reference. just make sure you stick to your theme!
