Does my cat have roundworms? What to do?
Recently for the my cat has been throwing up alt. She does this every so often and we didn't really pay any mind to it at first. But over the past week it has become a daily matter, and on top of that she's started having bad diarrhea. My aunt told me she might be de-hydrated so I checked and that doesn't seem to be the problem.
But the fact is she's about 10 or 11 years old, and we haven't seen anything like worms in her diarrhea or vomit.
We can't afford expensive vet bills either.
Does she have parasites or is she just getting old?
The only intestinal worm you can see with the naked eye are tapeworms, although there are many others that must be seen with a microscope (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, etc). Intestinal worm tests are usually very cheap. You can even just bring in a stool sample to most vets. Depending on which worm the cat may have determines which medicine the cat will need. Shouldnt cost too much to get it checked out. If the fecal test is negative then it is time to start looking further into the situation.

Did you change her food recently? I know they may get sick if you suddenly change their diet. If it is worms, you should have seen them in either the vomit or the stool. However, to be sure, I would take a sample of the stool to a vet, and they can look for the worm eggs in the sample to confirm or dismiss the worm theory.

My dogs expressed diarrhea at the same time, I thought works as well, but the samples I gave the vet showed some type of bacterial infestation. They were given antibiotics, and it all cleared up.

Good luck with your cat
Vomiting and diarrhea can cause severe dehydration. What did you check to determine that she isn't dehydrated? No living creature vomits and has diarrhea for no reason. She is sick and needs medical attention. What would you if you had diarrhea and vomiting for a week? Would you see a doctor? Doesn't your cat deserve the same care you would get for yourself?

You don't have the knowledge or education to diagnose and treat your cat. If she's just getting old, do you just watch her die?
you need to take a stool sample to the vet and have them check it for roundworm. But i actually don't think that roundworm causes vomiting in cats. She might just be sickly because of her age. Just try to keep her hydrated and get her to the vet as soon as you can afford it. good luck
