My cat Charlie is now a year and 3 months and weighs 13 lbs. I was just wondering if he is a maine coon? I provided some pictures

This one has very bad coloring but you can see his tale:

You have a Maine Coon if you have registration papers as proof. If you have to ask then I am guessing you don't have registration papers on the cat nor did you get him from a breeder. There is no way to tell from a picture, blood work or DNA testing. So you have to have the registration papers as proof you have the real thing. Now what I saw was a Domestic Long Hair cat.

RP CAT
No he doesn't. He doesn't look the least bit like one. Maine Coons have LONG ear tufts like this - http://www.statesymbolsusa.org/IMAGES/Ma ... They also have a very distinctive jaw shape.

"Constant talking" isn't a Maine Coon trait. And hair coming out of the ears? EVERY cat has that. Long fur between the toes (I'm sure that's what you meant) is something ALL longhaired cats have.

Maine Coon kittens only come from the mating of pedigreed Maine Coon to pedigreed Maine Coon. And they're sold by breeders STARTING at $ 600 - not found at shelters as kittens.

Your cat is simply a "domestic" - a cat of no particular breed just like over 97% of the cats on this entire planet.
If he is still growing, as confirmed by your vet, then he may have some Maine C ** n in his background, but he is not going to be a Maine C ** n without the necessary papers.

It is always possible that a breeder had a kitten they could not sell, and turned it into a shelter.

But without papers, you have a DLH, domestic long haired cat. And I have two long haired cats, DLH. They have long fur between their paws, fur that covers the ear openings, and extends beyond the edge of the ear. And while they are not particularly vocal, being vocal really signifies nothing. My vocal kitty is a tortie, DSH. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Oh, and seeing a "M" on his forehead does not stand for Maine C ** N. It is the mark of a tabby.
Though it does occasionally happen it is quite rare to get a Maine coon from a shelter .

The best way to find out is to ask a breeder of Maine coons and see what she/he thinks.
We can't access your computer to see the pics ..

Post them onto Photobucket or Flickr, though I HIGHLY doubt you have a Maine Coon.
If he's 3 years old and 13 lbs. He would be a very small Maine Coon. An adult Main Coon weighs from 15 to 25 lbs.
