My cat is gay!! Help!?

My cat being gay is not the problem because I don't have any problems with gay people or animals. But I have known for a while that my adult male cat is gay. He came from a shelter and of course before adoption they fix all of their animals.

I have another male cat and today he actually just turned 5 months old. Last night the cat was attacking the kitten and I couldn't figure out why. I got a hold of the adult cat and I was double checking to see if he had been fix and he was erected. I them realized that he was trying to have sex with my kitten. I knew this because I once had a cat that wasn't fixed who was acting the exact same way towards a female cat I have (who currently isn't living with me). How do I solve this problem? He's acting like he's not fixed because he wonders and tries to "mate."

I'm being serious about this question because when he wants to mate he hurts my kitten but other then that he can be really sweet to him ...

i recommend putting the big cat in a cage ... not kidding for a while, until the kitten is grown up and is able to mate without being hurt

that's pretty painful stuff for the kitty otherwise, or get the kitty to another environment, he's not safe
I don't think your cat is gay. I think this is a dominance issue. First, it is important to have your cat fixed, male cats can become very aggressive, and are known to attack and rape other cats if they aren't fixed. He is not actively seeking out males, he is either showing dominance (female dogs will do this to each other sometimes) or he is just in an aggressive mode from not being fixed.
Get your cat fixed. He might not be gay - just trying to show who's boss. Meow!
I don't know what to answer but this is .. LOL ~
He is not gay. He is probably showing his dominance to the kitten, even if he is acting out the motion of mating, he is not going to actually mate. I have 1 and 2 year old cats. The 2 year old was neutered at 4 months old. At age 1 I got the second kitten who was a few weeks old. Ever since, the older cat still humps the younger one. They have days where they love and snuggle and days when they fight. He cleans the younger cat too and snuggles with him like he has his arms around him. It is just a sign of dominance. He lets my younger cat know he is in charge. Just leave them alone. Or if the kitten is is in real distress, knock the older cat off the kitten. The kitten will learn to push him off when he doesnt want to be bothered.
Your older male cat "mating" with your younger one isn't sexual in nature. All animals, both male and female, will hump another animal or even a human. All the animal is doing is showing his dominance aka showing he is the Alpha. The erection that he gets is just an unconscious reaction his body is making. He doesn 't even realize he has one. If he becomes too aggressive and actually starts to really hurt your other cat, you may have to separate them as the older cat feels his territory is being threatened. Hope that helps.
