If someone is too rough with him, then he will learn to bite and scratch. Best to leave him have his space and only pet him gently until he learns that you and your family will not play rough with him. They don't like being roughly handled, kicked, tossed about, etc. You can reverse this by treating him gently from now on (everyone in the family, not just you). Also he should be neutered and stay inside. No outside cats to fight with. Find an inexpensive spay and neuter clinic in the yellow pages.
re-direct the bite with a toy ..... idk .. it helped me from getting bit every time he wanted to play ... Well, i also sprayed him with water ...
Flick nose hard enough to hurt but not damage. Shouldn't be allowed if even only 3-4 days.
I WOULD SAY THE BEST BET IS TO GET A CAT TOY OR CAT NIP CATS LOVE THAT STUFF.
