Why is my cat being such a terror?

This guy is about 6months old, part siamese cat. He is big and getting bigger. We had him neutered a couple of months ago. He is a house cat and won't be allowed outside. On occasion I will let him run in the back yard which is fenced in, but usually before he gets a bath, so despite being wet and dirty, he gets clean real soon.

Here is what he does on a daily basis: In the morning I wake up and he is lying outside our bedroom door and is very happy to see us, all purring and meowing, then I go shower and he hangs out and then I feed him and make myself some coffee. My wife has the same experience when she wakes up a couple of hours later. When we return home he comes trotting along and waits at the door for us, meowing happily that we are home and purrs for a few minutes . Throughout the afternoon we rub him and open extra windows for him to sit at, we play with him and give him his toys to play with. But by night time he becomes angry and seems frustrated. He lurches at our feet or hands and almost always draws blood. He immediately runs away as if he knows what he just did was bad. Anyway, we are at wits end, we were told he would calm down once neutered-instead he seems more ticked off than ever.
From six-nine months is prime kitty puberty. Even fixed, he's still going to have energy surges, as it's all part of growing up. He'll calm down once his body has settled. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

In the meantime, give him something to do that will tire him out once he hits his nighttime crazies. Laser toys and Da Bird toys are great for this because you can direct him with them to keep him off of pouncing on you or anything breakable in your place.

Good luck!
I call this crazy kitty hour ... i don't think he is trying to be mean ... he is playing

ALL my cats had this time @ 10-12 at night, where they were wired ..

Get him a new toy .. that cat nip toy that has a ball that goes around and a scratch pad in the middle where the cat nip goes .... this should help
