At this point I dont know what is wrong with her. Its the second time in 4 months that she has been on the brink of death due to not eating. First time around she began eating again with Ad from the vet. THen she stopped again . She now has diareea vomiting and I have seen blood in her stool. My husband doesnt want to pay for all the tests just to have them say we dont know. She was born in 03. Just wondering if I should let her go her own course or have her put down. She doenst want to be around anyone anymore and hides under the bed. My heart hurts and it kills me to see her this way.
Sounds like someone is poisoning the cat. That is not normal behavior .
I don't know if this will help but my mum had a cat that was refusing to eat and she tempted her with some cooked bacon and it worked. Try ringing your vet for more advice, they are there to help and will advise on which route to go down that will be best for your little cat, hope she's ok, be strong. x
Put her down. Its the best thing and she will be at rest. If it hurts to see her like this, you know what to do. Paying for more tests and operations would put your kitty through even more stress. Just tell the vet for an appointment. Your cat will be thankful.

If you are sure that she will starve to death, have her humanely euthanized by a vet. It usually doesn't cost very much and is the best thing you could do for her.

Your cat may have Hookworms and Severe Coccidia.PetSmart has a health plan its called optimum wellness plan http://www.banfield.net/optimum-wellness-plans-cats. The health plan practically saves you money I am using the health plan as well but please don't put the cat down it must see a vet asap oh and almost forgot my kitten did have coccidia as well (diarrhea) but the vet told me it was mild and they gave me medication for her and now she doesn 't have diarrhea anymore but if they have diarrhea and have blood at the same time then that's severe and for the hookworms makes the cat lose its appetite or it could just be severe coccidia cause sometimes with severe coccidia cats lose there appetite, vomit, and have diarrhea, blood in the stool but your cat must be seen by a vet cause they have the right medication for what ever your cat has
Oh would you please and take her to another vet and get her out of the misery and suffering that she sure is suffering from.
Omigosh can you please listen to Elaine M she seems to be the only person making any sense, it sounds like an affordable easy to at least TRY option.
put her down: (im sorry
it makes me feel sick to say this, but put her down. I'm so sorry for you: (
I know you love your cat and you are doing what you can, but that's no kind of life . I would not want someone force feeding me. I had to put a cat down in May because of kidney failure. I had her on subQ fluids for a month every day. I hated to do it. She was good as gold during the IV sessions but I know she was doing it for me. Tough decision but think of the quality of the cat's life. You are making her hang on for YOU.

My aunt has 15 cats and never puts them down. She hates me for doing it but she lets hers suffer through all kinds of things til they die. I hate that.
Be well and be comforted in your decision.
Don't let her slowly die. Either continue force feeding her or put her down. Please consider at least getting a blood test done. That can rule out a lot of things in one swoop without much stress on the cat. If you don't want to go further than that, whatever. Sometimes it's as simple as a stomach bug and an antibiotic will do it. If you did all the tests last time and couldn't find anything, I can see why you wouldn't want to repeat them. But if you haven't done any tests at all, that's not right. It's actually a crime in the US to let an animal suffer. So continue treating or put her to sleep.
You really need to take your cat to the vet to see what's wrong with her. And if your husband whines, remind him that if he had a human child who was sick like this, he would take her to the doctor to try to diagnose the problem so s/he could treat it, right? Well, this cat is no less a member of your family. Sometimes doctors can't find out what's plaguing a human who's sick, but that doesn't mean you give up, right?
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com I had to put my 18 +-year-old kitty down in March, and you better believe that during her illness, my boyfriend and I fought for her from tests to medications, to thrice-weekly sub-Q. Renal failure is common in older cats (she started having problems when she was 14), as is hyperthyroidism but she was a trouper through everything. In fact, she hated having her claws clipped far more than she hated having the blood drawn. I even had an ultrasound done to find out why she had so many UTIs, and the vet at the hospital discovered an abdominal mass that I later learned was cancer. Miss Kitty was my baby, and I wanted to give her as good a life as possible. And when I came home one evening to see her in obvious distress, my boyfriend and I rushed her to the vet where we got the bad news and made the painful decision to let her go.
