Recently, my sister has been letting my cat drink straight from the water faucet. Now she refuses to drink from her water bowl. I've tried not giving her the faucet at all, but she still refused, which dehydrates her.
She probably prefers the fresh water from the faucet. Get a pet fountain at Petsmart.
Some cats drink out of the toilet too. Your cat used to drink from the faucet and you stopped doing that and she still refused. Hmm. Well make sure your cat stays out of the bathroom (lots of the time cats will drink out of the toilet! (my cat used to do that. It was so funny) and that your cats water bowl is nice and clean with fresh clean water. (Cats will not drink it if it is dirty) I suggest you keep your cats food bowl next to the water bowl too. That way he/she will get used to the idea and will eat/drink!
Sometimes to when you let your cat outside he/she will drink out of a puddle! That is not a good thing to do. Like I said before make sure that your cats water bowl is nice and clean with fresh clean water in it.

Yes, get the pet fountain at walmart or petsmart. They constantly trickle water down like a faucet and that is what your cat is attracted to. Lots of cats get finicky like this and you can either make her get thirsty enough to drink out of a bowl, or just break down and purchase one of these cat fountains. However, I think they cost about $ 30. Your choice.
