Cat stuck in flytape?

Well, just a few moments ago .. My cat jumped on some hanging fly tape and got himself all tangled up in it and still has the sticky stuff ALL over him. IIs there any safe way to clean it off of him? Any help would be appreciated!

Haha thank you:)
Riiiiiiiippppppppppp. Lol jk try calming him down and driving to the vet, also get someone to hold him on the way
Take your cat to the vet or the emergency animal hospital which is usually open 24/7 or after hours from regular vet office hours. You can check the location for hospitals in your area. You do not know what kind of glue is used on the flytape. It can be poisonous to your pet. If you have an unused one , take it with you, too. Trying any of those treatments suggested may work, but they may also cause an allergeric reaction with the flytap to your cat. Proper medical treatment is the best way. The glue can be ingested into your cat, too , through the fur/skin. Get to the vet ASAP for the cat's sake. You may need to give some antibiotics if any skin is ripped. Wish you the best of luck and good health to your cat. Go now!! FYI .. .... Animal Poison Control Center 24/7 is 1-888-426-4435
Fly tape's pretty cruel. If you have a fly problem, you should probably find out what the root of the infestation is. If you have enough of an infestation to invest in something as nasty as fly tape, you have a big problem!! That said, vegetable oil should work. If not, you need to take your cat to a vet. It will be a serious problem if he's gotten glue in his mouth.

Edit - DO NOT shave a cat at home. Ever. This is a sure-fire way to slice a cat open. DO NOT use scissors on your cat at home, either. Again. Another sure-fire way to slice a cat open. They have paper-thin skin that tears easily. I know someone who tore their cat's leg shaving her at home.
Your going to need to CUT the fly paper away from his body ....

Be a RESPONSIBLE pet owner and take the cat to a professional groomer in your area, either private or at an SPCA ....
I used vegetable oil and olive oil on my cat and it did a fair job ... there was still a little left but it did get the worst off
Try vinegar I'll git it right off any other that won't come off use salt water or beer no joke ps salt water will get gorilla glue off no joke
Any good vegetable or peanut oil applied to the affected areas will aid in releasing the trap glue.
Haha Shave All His Hair xD

Take Him To a Vet ..
ummm well why was it so close to the ground flys don't walk.
