Why would my cat be limping?

So i have a year and a half old cat who was de-clawed about three months ago and he seemed to adjust fairly well afterwords. About a week or so ago i noticed he had started to limp a bit. I gave him a few days to see if it would take care of it's self but he was still limping so i took him to the vet and they physically examined him and said it was just some bruising on the pad and to give it a few more days and he should be using it again. But as the days have gone by i have noticed that he's become less active and avoids putting any weight on it when doing even the most simple of daily tasks. He lays down when he eats and tucks his paws under his body. When he sits its usually on his back legs with the front ones off the ground. It's been about two weeks since i took him to the vets and he doesn't seem to have gotten any better. When examining it he doesn't bite, hiss , jerk, or swipe at me. I don't know what the deal is. Anyone have any ideas?

To anyone who decides to make crappy comments on de-clawing cats i've heard it all before and i'm glad you have your opinions and i respect them and i don't trash them so i expect the same in return. If you wish to ***** about it go find someone who wants to listen to your chatter and talk to them.
This sounds to me like the cat is taking longer to heal then average, or perhaps the vet is to blame. For sure, the limp is from the declawing, which is supported in your information. Call the vet immediately and tell them your problem, or bring your cat to another vet to examine.
