Garfield is based on it.
From a reputable breeder of Exotic Shorthairs. Just Google "TICA Exotic Shorthair Toronto" or "CFA Exotic Shorthair Toronto". Make sure they're a PKD negative cattery. And if you don ' t know what PKD is, look it up. Bad breeders don't test for this and end up with litter upon litter of PKD + kittens that can die as young as four years old.
Expect to pay at LEAST $ 600 for a pedigreed pet quality kitten. Into the thousands if you're looking for show quality.
You can also check shelters - they occasionally come in as adults. I have a Red Classic Tabby and White Exotic I adopted when she was four years old three years ago. Sweetest cat I have EVER known!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ15S6B4R ... edit: I just checked at www.petfinder.com and all of the cats listed as Exotics AREN'T. Closest one to you is in Detroit, MI - "Lucy". There's also one SOMEWHAT looking like an Exotic called "Princess" ; in Burlington, ON. Neither are Red Tabby, though.

edit2: Join - despite what the cartoonist intended Garfield doesn't look the least bit like a Maine Coon. Maine Coons have long fur, long ear tufts and square muzzles. Does this

So that is what Garfield is supposed to be - never knew that.
Anyway here is a list of Exotic breeders - you'll have to research their websites or call them to find out if they breed that specific color. You probably will have to be on a waiting list. Exotic breeders don't breed for color - they breed for type.

Garfield is actually an "Orange Fuzzy Tabby of Maine Coon breed." Look in your area for Maine Coon breeders.
You can try kijiji.com, a newspaper. I'm not really sure, I doubt they would be at an animal shelter or a pet shop.
