My cats meow is very croaky, is something wrong?

She is 10 and in good health.
Is she a long hair kitty? Is she drooling alot? Sometimes they can get hairballs stuck in their throats. That tends to be a big deal and something that would need to get scoped out.

if no to my prior questions, then it might be age. i would ask your vet and see what they have to say
It is very possible that she has asthma if she has had it for a long time. IF not, the air is probably very dry or she could have an infection in her throat (like the cat form of strep throat). The MOST likely is that the air is very dry. I would look at her throat with a flashlight. If its pink, it's normal. If it is RED, like swollen and off color, take her to a vet. If it turns out to be the air, just buy a humidifier. Also if u smoke it probably has gotten to your poor cat.
Is she also purring while trying to meow? When they try to do both things at once the meow comes out croaky like that. Otherwise it's probably just because she's getting older.
all cats have a different meow, if it's always sounded like that its likely nothing to worry about
has it always been croaky? if so i dont think you need to worry
