HOW TO GET RID OF MY KITTENS FLEAS!? HELP!?

okay .. so she went to the groomers and got "flea dipped" and they looked like they were pretty much all gone. (she was completely infested .. saved her from some gross people down the street) .. and while we were out .. i flea bombed my house .. went to the vet .. got some frontline .. put it on her when we got home .. and the next day bought her a flea collar .. so i have done all these things and it has cost me a lot of money! so i was just playing with her and noticed a flea on her belly! ... WTF ..! im so irritated! what should i do?
Fleas hatch out in CYCLES .. ..... even if you killed all the fleas in your home with the flea "bomb", the eggs will hatch out .... and you'll have them AGAIN. The flea you see today, was an egg. .. 3 WEEKS AGO ........

You'll need to treat your home every few days for a number of weeks, in order to "catch" all of the fleas and the eggs. Be sure to vacuum thoroughly after EACH bombing ..... OR .... you can go to the grocery store, get some 20 Mule Team Borax powder (detergent aisle) and brush this into the nap of your carpets, under furniture, etc .. until it disappears .... leave it for a couple of days ( so the borax can dry up the fleas), then vacuum thoroughly & toss the vc bag in the outside garbage. You don't want any eggs that you picked up to hatch out and reinfest your home. You'll still have to do this repeatedly, but unlike the bomb, it's cheaper .... don't have to wash your dishes ... don't have to leave while it's working ..... is safe for animals, birds, people, etc. ... and the environment. It's NOT a pesticide!! The borax works ..... just takes time & comittment!!

Also ........ putting flea collar on a kitten won't kill the fleas, but can make the kitten DEATHLY ILL. The poison in the collar, along with the frontline, will cause an overdose in the kitten .. ...... and only the flea that decides to walk UNDER the flea collar will get the poison. Fleas prefer the "moist" areas of the animal ....... groin, "arm" pits, ears , nose, mouth, etc ...... so, having a collar around the neck does little, if any, good ....... just makes the animal sick.

Take the collar off, so the kitten won't get any more of that poison on her .... get a dish of water (put a couple of DROPS of dish soap into the water), get some regular TWEEZERS, and go sit under a strong lamp, with the kitten in your lap. You can watch TV, while you "pluck" the fleas off & drop them into the water. Add the soap AFTER the dish has water in it, so it won't be "sudsy". The fleas will drown, and sink to the bottom. After you've gotten as many fleas off as you can find, & deposited into the dish, pour it into the TOILET & flush them down. If there are any that aren't dead, they'll be gone "down the drain "......

Hope this helps ........ Good luck .......
The Frontline will take care of that flea. You also need to de-worm the kitten because the worm eggs are carried on the fleas . Change the litter often or more fleas may hatch out in it. Next month take the kitten to a vet and buy flea stuff called "revolution". It kills everything, ear mites, fleas, ticks, worms of all kind, It is only available by prescription. It is cheaper to get it from a vet than mail order. It is cost effective because it is an all-in-one.
I would take your kitten to the vet, and get a flea vaccination done . The vaccination is called program. It contains a product called lufenuron, which disrupts the development of the flea. It is given under the skin, and lasts for six months. I don't know the price, but you could ask. The vet might have that vaccination. Otherwise, listen to the vet to see if there is another solution. I REALLY hoped I helped. Good luck! Ps. I agree with
I had the same problem. What I had to do is bomb my house twice and put advantage on my cat as it says on the package. It is a lot of money but in the long run it was the best thing to do. We also used flea spray, but I believe the bombs worked best
advantage from 9 weeks old but also treat home, bed kill them in 24 hours kill fleas ear mites worms for 4 weeks u have to treat every thing in house to stop them or flea power at same time or it will keep got reat every thing i use it on 5 cats not one flea left
got to redo all again, eggs are not affected by all your actions
first of all if you have the flea collar on her after giving her frontline you need to take the collar off immediately. This will overdose her and she could be seriously harmed. it will take 24-48 hours for all the fleas to be killed. Most vets reccomend you give animals infested with fleas a capstar, which is a small pill that kills all fleas within 24 hours, and then you apply the Frontline to keep the fleas off and to kill the fleas as they hatch as the capstar does not kill the eggs. What you probably saw were fleas that were newly hatched and they should be dead soon. Next time instead of giving them a flea dip ... just wash the cat in blue dawn. It kills the fleas and cleans the coat. Don't wash them in dawn all the time as that would hurt their skin, but it is what we use at the clinic I work at ... works MUCH better than flea dips. PLus it's a lot cheaper.
