What's wrong with my cat?
Tabs is an outdoor cat that comes inside now and then, but spends most of her time outside. About a month ago we would pick her up and just from the pressure of our hands on her abdomen, she would end up pooping on us, but it was pure liquid.
We thought it was the food we were feeding her, so we switched her to kitten chow so it would be easy on her stomach compared to regular cat food. For a while it helped. She seemed like she fattened up a bit and then thinned out like she normally is which I thought meant she was digesting her food again.
Now, a couple weeks since we put her on kitten chow she has started having this problem again. I don't feed her wet food except every month or so to give her some worm medicine and since this problem started I haven't given her any wet food.
Tabs is fixed and female. She's very laid back and other than her obvious physical ailment has shown no sign of pain or discomfort although I'm sure she's uncomfortable because her poop isn't solid.

Any words of advice would be great. As soon as I can afford it, I'm taking her to the vet which should be in the next week or so. I should have taken her when this started, but I didn't have the funds to do so.
Any information would be great.
Words fail me! She could be dead in "the next week or so". It's amazing that you don't have the funds to take her to the vet but you do have the funds for a computer and an internet connection. Does your local computer store take food stamps?
Your cat may have worms or a digestive problem/disease. There should be some cheaper de-worming pills you can give her that you can find at petsmart.
Did it work when you gave your cat kitten chow? Thats what it sounds like to me but im just making sure. It could be many things, but try giving your cat wet foods. Its better for them and easier for them to digest. I've even heard that some cat food and cause blatter problems. For sure go to the vet though.
1) there is no "universal" dewormer that covers all worms or protozoa or bacteria

2) worms shed intermittently & can be caught again if the cat goes outdoors
3) a fecal test may determine what she has (if it is a parasite problem)...there are several other health conditions that can cause diarrhea other than parasites and they can lead to death if untreated....if it's not parasites, a blood test might be run also.
4) sometimes they can be allergic to a food item (like corn, chicken, fish, etc). Kitten food is actually richer (higher in protein & fats) and therefore NOT particularly easier to digest. Sometimes just switching foods can cause GI upset in itself. (some cats do better on a all wet food diet, while others cannot tolerate wet foods)
5) sometimes they can eat an inappropriate item (like a toy or plant) that can cause a blockage or can be toxic
5) recurrent diarrhea can cause dehydration and is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed ASAP
ANSWER: Go to the vet now. Your cat may be in mortal danger.
