WILL MY CAT DIE? ANSWER ASAP PLEASE?!?!?!?!?
Okay, so you know those stupid Silica packets? Yeah, well one was on the floor, and I didn't notice what my cat was playing with.... But, it was thatD: And it was opened and she ATE SOME!!!! Oh noes!!! Help? What should I do??? I fed her some more food so it can cancel out the silica beads.. And sometimes she throws up her food. So should I do anything else? Thank you!
Call your vet or poison control know. Silica is a drying agent and toxic
This is what the ASPCA says: Are silica gel desiccant packages toxic to pets?

—Cheryl S.

Cheryl, silica gel is used to absorb moisture in many different products, and is usually packaged in plastic cylinders or paper packets. You’ve probably seen those little packets that say “DESSICANT—DO NOT EAT!” in medications, leather goods, vitamins and even some pasta products. Silica gel is also used in certain cat litters to absorb moisture.

While it is indeed true that it is not meant for consumption, silica gel usually produces only mild stomach upset, which typically resolves with minimal to no treatment. If very large quantities are eaten, however, such as with ingestions of multiple packets or mouthfuls of kitty litter, intestinal obstruction is possible—especially in very small animals.

She might have some diarrhea though.
If diarrhea continues I'd call a vet and check it out with them.

girl you should be on here as soon as it happen. how about trying to make her vomit or give her some laxative to get the beads out. is it a packet with "do not eat, poison"? why don't you ask a vet, you know like drop by animal hospital and ask the nurse there or vet for advice bc you don't have the money. they gonna charge you an arm and a leg just to treat it. my friend took her cat in and got an eye drop and it cost her $375. if the silica pckt isn't poison, your cat should be alright. if it is, feed her ground charcoal mixed into her food or lime mixed into food. that's the natural way to detox the poison. i saw monkeys eat it on national geographic
