Should I make my cat do exercise if she has heart problems?
My cat amber wasn't able to pee yesterday so we brought her to the vet and it seems that she was blocked so the doctor gave Ous pills for her but they also said she has heart problems. She's 11 years old and she doesn't want to drink water anymore she's just eating. What should I do . And also should I make her do exercise by playing with her to help her heart problems? Answers would be very aprecieated! Plz and thank you!!
Urinary tract blockages in cats are VERY serious so you want to ensure that she does consume plenty of liquids whether she like it or not. Consuming extra water can reduce the chances that she blocks again.
Feed her a canned diet ONLY, no dry food. To be sure she gets extra water, feed her more frequently than usual, try 3-4 small meals of canned food, and mix 1-2 teaspoons of water into each meal. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

You should not encourage your cat to do more exercise without consulting with the vet. There are different types of heart problems and it would depend on which type she has.
well i wouldn't play with he/she to hard just made get a ball and tie it to the end of the shring and dangle it front of her face but not to hard with he/she (my cat loves it
Limit her exercise. It is rare for a female cat to have a urinary obstruction reason being because their urethra is shorter than a male cat's because they have a long urethra making them much more susceptible to an obstruction. Female cats are more likely to have UTI (urinary tract infections) I'm not fimiliar with OUS pills. Usually if they are blocked you have to place a urinary catheter to clear the obstuction. Most of these obstuction are due to crystals in the urine that form due to an improper diet. Depending on the extent of the obstruction they can develop heart contraction abnormalities due to an increased potassium level. Patients with heart disease such as congestive heart failure can develop kidney disease. Either way it is imperrative that she drink water, consider having running water either by you sink or get a fountain water bowl that continuosly runs water. For some reason cats prefer running water. I would ask your vet if they would like her to be a special diet particularly in canned form since they harbour more water than dry form.
