Ok, so I have a brittish blue cat and a staffie dog.
My problem is that my cat doesn't like my dog so every time she try's to hit my staffie, the dog gets more excited and try's to get even closer, therefore the cat hits the dog and it keeps going so much that I have to trap the cat in my bedroom. Help please?

trap them both in a cat sized kennel and then watch for an hour afterword they will have an unbreakable bond

i used to have this problem, keep them seperate and at certain times slowly get the cat to stop fighting agenst the dog by holding back her paws and letting the dog sniff her. it takes time and patience. Good luck! :)

It sounds to me as if they're just having fun together.

Is one of the animals new, or has this been going on for a long time? In either case, it would probably make sense to separate them and start over by putting the newest animal in its own room. Here are some links.

Try putting her in her carrier for a while and let your doggie go by it. She will probably get mad and hiss but maybe she will get more use to him and when you let her out, maybe she will calm down. If not, she is probably just a bratty cat. I have a bratty cat that smacks the other cats sometimes for no reason at all. They have all learned to ignore her now.

What you should do is put them both in kennels/crates/carriers, and put them relatively close to each other so they can both smell and see each other without actually getting in contact. leave them to sniff for a few minutes, then take the dog out and put him on a leash. then let the cat out and let them sniff for a bit. Continue this for awhile until they have less of a reaction. That should help :)
