My cat was pregnant, and while she was she had gotten out of the house. The next day, I had came home and she was lying by the door. I opened the door to let her in and she wouldn't get up and walk. She is very weak, and from what I know, she isn't pregnant anymore, but her kittens are no where around the house? She won't get up and move without me helping her. She won't eat any of her food, and when I lay water in front of her to drink, she drinks a little, but barely. Other than that she just keeps her head by it and looks at it. Her eyes has that cold stuff in them, and she won't let me wipe it off. She keeps sort of coughing I guess? She has a very odd odor that comes from her. I'm not sure what could be wrong and I don't have the money to take her to the vet. ): If you have any information on what could be wrong please help!! sounds like she either had her babies outside and she lost them/ they were stolen... when my cat lost hers she did the same until her mother brought them to her, my other cat stood in her place for a week before giving up... but at the same time she may still be pregnant, once a cat pics their spot to have their babies just let it be or you can cause damage to both the mother on the babies.

I'm soo sorry to hear that.. I'm affraid the only thing you could do is to take her to the vet. she may need injections, or antibiotics and be placed on fluids.. I"m so sorry.

Try force feeding her some food and water, and place warm towels from the dryer on her. you don't want her body temperature to fall.. but honestly there isn't much you can do.. i wish you the best!!

L:iz, get on the phone and CALL the vets in your area to arrange for payment plans. Your cat is in severe need of a vet and yes you will lose her if she's this bad after 24 hours. She needs a doctor. There is no home remedy to make this all well.

I hate to say this but she does need a vet and now. Any information we have can be wrong, we can not examine the cat to find out why she is not pregnant, why she isn't moving, why she has a strange odor coming from her. Many, many things could cause this. Even if one of us got it right and guessed what was wrong with her there is nothing we can do to help her and nothing you can do at home to help her either. You don't have the medication or the medical back ground to treat her. She needs a vet sooner than later. You have a choice to make - either you let her die or you find the money to take her to the vet. If it were me, I'd either call around until I found a vet that takes payments or write out a check, even if you don't have the money in the bank. There's always a way out of a situation, even though it may not be the one you like.

Vets love animals. Call the nearest one and tell them your situation. You can usually arrange payments. Taking her to the Vet is a decision you cannot regret. You can regret not taking her. In fact, I would call a 24hr animal hospital if there is one in your area...Do this immediately!!

Your cat could have pyrometra. It is most commonly seen in dogs but can also occur in cats. It's possible there are dead kittens inside her. I know you mentioned not having money to see a vet but you need to take her to one as soon as possible. This is a life-threatening condition. Most vets will allow payment plans so get her to one immediately.

By the way, your cat will very likely have to be spayed in order to save her life if she does indeed have this disease.
