My Cat has Ear mites, and my other cat might get them?
I just treated my one kitty for ear mites I took her to the vets and they gave her a shot to kill the existing Mites and now I am cleaning her ears & using medicine on her ears twice a day.. What are the chances my other cat will get them? They play but dont cuddle together & i also clean his ears.. Thanks for any help you can give me !
Very high chance. Those little suckers suck. I have 3 cats and one of my cats had one. I took it to the Vet and ended up having to treat all of them. It's kind of like fleas... but not as bad it just itches the heck out of cats ears.
It really depends, do your cats regularly have unprotected ear-sex?

If so, there is a high chance of transmitting the condition.

My dogs gave each other Paw herpes =/
If you're worried about both your cats getting ear mites just clean both their ears... you're doing a great job...
yes our other cat can get them to go to the vet and get them both cleaned out
Ear mites are very contagious - and chances are if one cat has them, the other one does as well. Cleaning ears won't kill mites - only a miticide from the vet will do that. Give the vet a call, and ask for additional ear mite meds and instructions/dosage for your other cat. If you don't treat both of them, you run the risk of both cats passing them back and forth to each other. Not worth it, not for the price of ear mite medication.
