Does my cat think hes special since my mom carries him in a basket?
Im just wondering if my cat knows how special he is to our family. I mean I dont carry him in his big basket, my mom does. Its really this big basket my mom mad into his bed that he sleeps in all the time. But she carries him up to bed and down to the livingroom in the morning with her. Do you think my cat, Rudy knows hes spoiled compared to being on the streets where people found him and gave him to the humane society? I just hope wonder if he knows how good he has it now? lol hes the biggest baby.
answer:
Your cat's story sounds similar to mine. My baby kitty is now three years old(adopted from the Humane Society when he was 6 months old) and he's treated like king by every member of this family. Every where he walks to in this big house he finds someone greeting him and loving him. There's a toy or some kind of cat accessory in every room of the house for him including a big huge cat tree in the living room. I feel like my cat appreciates everything we do for him because he shows us a lot of love and especially when he meows for something he wants and gets it. For example when he stands on the side of the jacuzzi and waits for me to turn on the water and when I do, he reaches up to my face and starts to give me nose kisses and purrs real loud. I really love my cat and would do anything for him.

I'm glad your mom loves her cat and I'm sure that somehow he feels the difference of the quality in his life. He will be giving you guys many years of love in return.
Cats are such vain creatures, he probably doesn't feel special enough. Now, if he was fed his absolute favorite meal every single night (you'd have to experiment with foods to do that, but it's not recommended because cats can have food allergies, too) then the kitty would probably feel even more special. But don't worry, he probably still loves you all even if you don't meet his expectations. ;D
Cats are totally less oblivious to be spoiled then dogs. dogs might realize that they are spoiled to an extent, cats are proud to be spoiled.

Basically, yea, that cat knows hes special, and loves the fact.
no. the cat thinks its routine.
