Do both female and male cats spray scent?
My neighbor has a outside cat and it comes around every day and backs up to the bushes in my back yard - and sprays. I thought only males scented but this comes straight out of its back side ( butt ). If its a male how can he do this? Only good answers please
I have had female cats spray on their territory. Males always do.
When I first saw my female do it, I was surprised. Seems to be a dominant female will spray, Yuk.

Both males and females scent mark though males do it more because they have larger territories than do females.

Yes - especially if neither is spayed/neutered. Its not from the butt - its from the penis/vagina and they can shoot the urine if they want.
