Cat tick question help?
Recentl I found a tick on my cat. I removed it with oil (cooking) and squished it with my lifting weights and did not touch it. My question: do ticks lay eggs inside the cat? This is scary b/c I get mixed answers on the internet.
No ticks just stick their heads into animals and suck blood from them, to feed. They don't lay eggs in them.

The main danger from ticks is that they can carry some blood borne diseases.
If you found 1 tick, rest assured that they will be more. The cat needs to go to the vet asap, because ticks will go onto people & other pets.

No. Depending on the type of tick, it could have given your cat a disease. Deer ticks carry lyme disease.

>>Just because you found one tick does not mean there are more. Examine your cat. You can do this yourself, no need to go to the vet. It's not hard.
