Windows are a cat's best friend! :o)

They enjoy the sunshine, they love to "twitter" at the birds (to sound like a bird to bring them closer), and ohhhhh, the little bugs that climb on your window or screen, now that's a real joy for them.

You could, if you have the money, build one of those (geez, can't remember name), those type of windows that go out, but make it go a little further and have it screened in so they aren't exposed to the poisonous things out there, or the animals of prey, or even a cat fight that could pass diseases. This would give the cat even more fresh air and sun and breeze. (Just a thought).

They do it so much because there will always be bugs, birds, other cats, dogs, things of interest out there for them to look at. :o)

maybe he spotted a bird or a squirrel. maybe its because he wants to go outside a little bit. or he wonders how it is to be outside. i realized that for relaxation cats and dogs like to look outside. any of answers can be the one. just have to go 1 step further to find out. good luck

Yep, cats LOVE to sun bathe because their ancestors evolved to live in the desert. My cat loved to sit in the window and chatter at the birds. Plus sitting in the window feeds their curiosity.

because he likes to look at the aniumals out side and smell the fresh air its nothing bad they wont jump out the window unless a bird come close to it in that case just up a screen

It is probably just because he is bored and craves excitement.
