A few months ago, he had some crystals in his urine (first thing we did was take him to the vet). he was put on antibotics (incase of an infection), and we were told to get him prescription diet food. We tried the purina food first since it was cheaper, but when he peed on my couch (first time ever, normally was on carpets), i switched to the expensive stuff. I also locked him in my bathroom for 5 days to try to retrain him for the litter box. He may be very sensitive to the smell of other cats urine. I would try to clean by the areas where is can smell the other cats ( By the door ect.) as many times in a day as it is possible for you. Put a box by the door if thats where he is peeing alot. Try to catch him in the act of peeing in his box and give him a treat and praise him. I believe there are also different attractants you can buy to put in his little box to try to get him to want to go in there more often. I think it could be just a phase he is going through but if it keeps up then I would try a different vet or ask to try different antibiotics because he may still have a bladder infection. Good Luck!
