Kitten continues to whine for kitten milk, wont drink water..what do I do ?
she's 6 weeks old and refuses to drink water
answer: Keep offering her the weaning milk but gradually reduce the purity of it by adding water eventually she will be drinking pure water and not milk....time consuming but it will work. Good luck
At her age, she STILL should be with mom cat for the next 4 weeks till she is totally weaned. Of course she wants milk. But if this is an orphan kitten, then add KMR to canned kitten food (chicken or lamb only) and offer water in several shallow bowls around the house.
I've had kittens drinking water at 3 weeks old. Do NOT feed her any kind of cow's milk.
