Where can I get 2 kittens?
Hi
I am after 2 cute kittens who will be indoor only but I'm having trouble. There aren't many kittens since it's October but they should be in shelters slowly but I'm wondering if anyone knows some good shelter sites etc or breeders. I live in Victoria around the Broadmeadows/Glenroy area. There will be heaps in 3-4 weeks but I can't stand waiting and want them now! :P
Thanks.
answer: I was only able to find Vet clinics. You could call "Glenroy Veterinary Clinic", located at: 125 Wheatsheaf Rd, Glenroy, VIC, 3046, Phone number:
(03) 9300 1099 and they will have information on where all the shelters are.
Just take down all the numbers and go visit the shelters or give them a call. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Just so you're aware, a lot of kittens are in foster homes and not at the shelter, so I would definitely talk with a volunteer at the shelter to find out who has kitties.
We get hundreds of kitties at our kill shelter and fosters had about 1/2 of them.
If in the care of a foster they should already be de-flea'd and vaccinated, i would hope. I'm not sure of the laws in Australia.
Here, the kittens/cats/dogs, roosters, cows, horses etc., from our local shelters come with their spay/neuter already done, microchip, vaccinations (or if small kittens, at least their first vaccination), rabies' shot (if old enough, otherwise, a voucher); free first vet check-up with any vet (For shelter cats/kittens only); and a booklet of discount coupons from pet stores.

Please, please, PLEASE go to your local animal shelter/humane society and ask for kittens from them. There are so many unwanted cats in shelters all over. Do not go to a breeder when you can save a cat's life instead. And please do remember that grown-up cats make wonderful pets as well...everyone wants kittens, but no one wants the poor older cats left in cages for the rest of their days. Please consider adopting an older cat. Your kittens won't stay kittens forever, and you can rest assured SOMEONE will give them a good home. Not so for the older cats.
Well since this question was asked in Australia im not 100% sure. But if its anything like where I live (Minnesota) there should be hundreds of cats in your local animal shelters. If not look in the local ads or craigslist. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
I just looked up one local animal shelter and they had 12 cats just there!
