Is my cat going to make it?
I found a cat on the side of the road that was squirming to get up so I pulled over and took it to a medical care center for animals right down the road it was bleeding out of the ears and mouth and unconscious by the time i got there left for two hours to go to work then when i came back she was conscious again but bad head trauma they couldnt do a ct scan to see how bad the damage was b/c it was just a medical care center and they couldnt take her to the emergency animal hospital it would be thousands and they have not found the owner so when they closed i kept the cat at my house on an iv with fluids and the dr. gave it medicine to reduce the swelling of the brain they really just need to keep the cat stable and see if it makes it or not but by now i feel like it should be showing signs of doing ok or not. The cat has been sleeping off an on still on an iv im taking it back in the morning just making sure it will make it over night. It got hit around 1 pm arrived at 130 at the hospital. Having nuerological problems was getting very angry earlier and isnt bad but acts like it really wants out of its cage (im supposed to keep it in an closed space) the bleeding has stops its gums do not look pale showing she isnt loosing a lot of blood. but shes having trouble opening her left eye on the side of her head where she got hit and probablly still cant eat or drink on her own. Do you think she will make it..?
i'm sure the cat will be fine, it takes a while for things to heal, and if the bleeding has stopped the cat will most likely be fine.
i dont think anyone can really answer this, but it seems like she has improved... of course, i don't know for sure, but good for you for taking care of her :) i hope she makes it, and sorry that this answer gave you no information..
I'm not an expert, but based on the fact that she is showing signs of getting better, there is reason to hope. Ask them about feeding her with a syringe. The poor baby! God bless you for picking her up and taking her to the vet. I hope that you get a dear friend out of the deal and not just a vet bill!
One thing they use for shock and inflammation is steroid shots. If you take her back and they still think there is swelling in the brain, maybe they will use this. They may not have, due to the bleeding and cuts. Good luck. Give the best care you can and lots of love.
