How much is the cheapest type of cockatoo? really want another parrot!?
i have a green cheek conure right now, but i want a bigger parrot, like a cockatoo, but i was looking to get one for under $500 is there any breeds in that price range besides a cockatiel?
answer: Cockatiels actually are a kind of cockatoo. Other cockatoos will be over $500 unless you find a second-hand bird. For reasonably priced bigger birds, you might consider:

One of the large conures. Similar in personality to your green-cheek, but larger and much louder.

Be sure you want one; Cockatoos can be VERY temperamental
