Girl canary has blood by her wing..?
so i have a girl canary whos not even 1 yet..and recently we noticed that by her wing she has a blood line on both sides. is it because shes been flying a lot and her wings are just shedding or did the male canary (thats in the same cage) do something to her without us noticing? they fight sometimes but nothing bad..one side has like a blood line from a feather that fell off and the other is like under most of the feathers... please help pleasee
thankss!
What you are seeing is called a 'Pin Feather" or "Blood Feather". That means that she is molting and growing new feathers. All new feathers have blood inside them as they grow. If there is not actual blood outside the feather shaft, it is normal.

It's also possible that one of the feathers was injured and is bleeding. Get some Steptic powder from the pet shop and put that on the area that is bleeding. That should stop it. If you can't get to the store right now, you can use corn starch in an emergency. A bird can bleed to death rather quickly, so If she is definitely bleeding take care of it asap.

It's probably blood-feathers.
